About Drew Foster

Drew "Darce_Knight" Foster is a distinguished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, renowned for his expertise on the Darce choke. Beginning his BJJ journey around 2008, Drew has dedicated over a decade to mastering the art, achieving his black belt in 2022. His pursuit of knowledge led him to travel across the United States, training under and absorbing techniques from some of the sport's most talented practitioners, including Jeremy Owens, Cody Maltais, Brandon Mccaghren, Matt Skaff, Ryan Hall, David Porter, Bill Cooper, and Jeff Glover. 

Since earning his brown belt, Drew has specialized in no-gi grappling, an area where he particularly excels due to its dynamic and fluid nature. His coaching career began in 2016 and transitioned to a full-time role in 2022, reflecting his deep commitment to the sport and his students. Drew's approach to coaching is heavily influenced by his own experiences as a learner; he is profoundly empathetic towards newcomers and strives to provide guidance and support to help them overcome the hurdles he once faced.

Drew values sincerity and authenticity, both in his teaching style and in his interactions. This philosophy has made him a beloved coach and mentor within the BJJ community.
